Premium display, worth the price

A very premium product to fit you prized slabs in. Nice option to show off on your desk top or hung up.

Not a homerun...to my disappointment! 😕

I want to give it 2.5 stars but cant (ill get to that later in my review). Until now, I have been a HUGE fan of everything Wicked Brick has put out. They are the best display cases I can find anywhere; by far, in both style and quality. I, unfortunately, have to say that this is not one of them. First, it took forever for it to arrive. Yes I understand that it all depends on the number of orders they are getting at the given time of my order, so maybe this aspect is a one-off, however, for such a basic rather unimpressive item it really shouldn't have taken as long as it did. Especially since it was shipped separate from the rest of my order and arrived last. I guess from the images online I was just expecting something more. The high end quality that the product images give on the site here, just is not there (for me) when I look at the actual product in front of me. Everything is "held in place" by 3 flimsy pieces of foam, one of which arrived torn. It was packed REALLY WELL (hence the reason for the extra .5 stars) but that also tells me that it left the factory in that condition, which to me is unacceptable, especially for the price of this item.the other aspect which made this seem really cheap to me is the face of it case. it's just a thin piece of acrylic that is barely held on by a few small magnets which are too small and week to really hold it in place. I cant hang this anywhere where someone may accidentally brush up against it because, unless i glue it in place, the frame will continuously get knocked off and most likely break when hitting the floor. Although it does come with the parts to turn it into a table top display, which I do appreciate and like. Now as for the price, normally Im ok with paying the amount of money that is charged for their cases, but then again, they are normally worth the price you are paying for it. Aesthetics alone are worth the cost. Not here. Id say if they were charging half of what they charge now, that is closer to a fair price for the value of what you receive.
I realize that this review is somewhat harsh, but Ive come to expect a higher standard from this company and this one item just missed the mark. I think it deserves to be reiterated though that, I have purchased a number of items from here over the past 5 years and this is the only one I've ever been disappointed with. This is a excellent company with some of the best cases for both LEGO and IKEA display mods (I cant speak to Warhammer because I don't buy those, its not my thing). This one just fell short of the mark of the quality Ive come to expect and rely on from Wicked Brick.
