LEGO® Icons The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith™ (11377): 8,278-Piece Set Revealed for 25th Anniversary
LEGO® has revealed what may be its most ambitious Icons set to date. The Lord of the Rings™: Minas Tirith (11377) is an 8,278-piece recreation of the White City of Gondor, released to mark the 25th anniversary of Peter Jackson's films. Available to LEGO Insiders from 1 June 2026, with general release on 4 June.
What's in the Set
The build uses a hybrid scale approach: a microscale outer cityscape that captures the full sweep of the White City's tiered walls and towers, combined with minifigure-scale interior sections you can actually explore.
Key interior locations include the citadel's throne room, where some of the trilogy's most pivotal scenes take place. The build also features the iconic Tree of Gondor and the city's layered defensive walls.

The set includes 10 minifigures: Gandalf the White, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, and four Soldiers of Gondor. Shadowfax, Gandalf's horse, is also included as a figure. Accessories include Gondor helmets, shields, and Aragorn's crown.

The Detail
The hybrid scale design is an interesting design decision here. Rather than committing fully to one scale, the LEGO design team built a set that works from a distance and up close. The microscale skyline reads as Minas Tirith from across the room. The minifigure-scale interiors give you something to interact with.

It also sits in a line of anniversary releases that LEGO has handled well. Much like the 25th anniversary Shrek sets revealed last month, this one leans into collector display value rather than pure playability.
Gift with Purchase
Buyers who purchase between 1 and 7 June 2026 will receive the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Grond (40893) as a free gift with purchase. Grond is the legendary battering ram used in the siege of Minas Tirith, so it's a fitting companion piece.

Availability
LEGO® Icons The Lord of the Rings™: Minas Tirith (11377) is priced at £579.99 / €649.99 / $649.99, for ages 18+.

How to Display It
At 56 cm tall and 69 cm wide, this is a substantial display piece. The microscale design means it has a genuine visual presence from a distance, but you'll want to protect it.
