Best Display solution in the galaxy!

This was my first purchase from Wicked Brick and I can tell you it won’t be my last. The quality, fit and finish is top notch. I love the details with the etching around the outer edges of all plexi surfaces and Minifigure display sections. Even the small Wicked Brick logo etchings are a cool touch as are the genuine Lego studs for the minifigs and accessories to click to and the bespoke backgrounds. I was very impressed with the quality of the vinyl backgrounds. Wow! Just wow. This case was the final touch to really show off the magic of the UCS Millennium Falcon. Thank you very much Wicked Brick Team. You have made a believer out of me. Special shout out and heartfelt thanks to Karen and Aidan in customer service! You both were tremendously helpful and kind.

Better instructions on the webpage for the stand without the case

After posting my previous review I thought to look at the product page for the stand sold without the case. Turns out that has much better pictures on how to mount the set on the stand. Wish I had thought to look at that page before putting my case together. I think it would be helpful if this page had the same instructive pics as the other page does. But perhaps you can learn from my experience!

      Beautiful but what a pain

I sure wish these cases came with set-specific instructions. This is my fourth stand/case from Wicked Brick and all of them have come with the same frustration of figuring out how the set actually sits on the stand (with the exception of the 1989 Batmobile which has a very helpful picture from underneath). The UCS Falcon is so heavy and awkward to move that the lack of clear guidance from Wicked Brick makes mounting it an incredibly frustrating experience with a lot of broken off pieces. I could pick two possible positions:
      1. In one the back of the Falcon scrapes one wall of the case.
      2. In the other the front of the Falcon scrapes the other side of the case.

Either option places a lot of stress on the landing gear which don’t quite fit on either side of the supports that make up the stand. The weight of the set then breaks off the pieces of the Falcon that are resting on the stand.

Then once all of that is settled, getting the already assembled case placed took 10-20 minutes of shifting sides back and forth, popping out previously seated parts while trying to seat other ends. It would be really helpful if the case had those screw-in cubes near the bottom and in the top-middle of the long sides. I think this is their first display case for such a large set and there’s a bit of a learning curve to perfect it. Either that or I just didn’t figure out the right way to assemble the whole thing because of the lack of specific instructions.

Wicked Brick makes beautiful products that do a great job of displaying my Legos while keeping them dust free. Also, their customer service is very helpful as they replaced several pieces that were damaged in shipping free of charge to me. I just think that these large cases need a little more careful engineering before they’re perfected.
